This month Birchbox has teamed up with Glamour and because their latest issue is all about the 5 senses of summer they wanted to make a birchbox with a multi-sensory experience!

AHAVA purifying mud mask- 4.3oz bottle retails for $31 USD. Fast acting mask detoxifies the skin with Dead Sea mud and Kaolin white clay. Im excited to try this mask, after all of the new house projects I am going to need a product like this.

Earbuds (Birchbox  lifestyle extra)- These earphones are so cute and are currently NOT for sale on the birchbox site so, it makes it an extra special treat for all of us subscribers to get these earphones. They are pink and blue!! cute cute!! :)

Laura Geller Double Dipped Lipstick in Caribbean Kiss- This is a full size lipstick and it retails for $17.50 USD. What is cool about this lipstick is that it is two sided. One side is a rosy pink and the other side is a bronze pink.

Oscar de la Renta, live in love perfume- 50ml bottle retails for $78 USD-  This perfume contains notes of  jasmine sambac, rose, ginger orchid, and amber.

Manna Kadar sheer glo shimmer lotion- 1oz bottle retails for $29 USD. This illuminating liquid can be mixed with foundation for an all over glow or as a highlighter. This sample I was a little disappointed with because it comes in a small tube with a pull off lid that does not go back on so...you pretty much have to use it all in one try or the product will drip out of the tube and get everywhere.

June Birchbox

OMG its July already and I forgot to post my June Birchbox!! Sorry guys, I suck :/  Well here is what I recieved in my JUNE birchbox.

Masqueology Brightning Mask- 3 Masks Retail for $24USD

Ive already tried out this mask and honestly, I could do without. The mask itself feels really slimy and it was WAY to large for my face. The directions say to leave it on for 20 minutes, peel the mask off and rub the excess product into your skin. It is supposed to help even out your skin tone, Well, I tried to leave it on the full 20min but because it was too large for my face it kept sliding off so I just took it off, rubbed in the excess and went to bed. My face stuck to my pillow the entire night and when I woke up, my face did not look any different. :/

                theBalm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen- Full Size Retails for $17USD
  This product can be used on lips and cheeks. I dont like using cheek stains but as a lip stain this product is really nice. The color can be applied sheer for just a hit of pinky/red color and can be built up to more of a red stain.
                  Supergoop SPF 30+- Full Size Retails for $14-$48USD
This non greesy, oil free SPF provides UVA/UVBprotection and hydrates skin. I usually use this on my face when I go to the beach or pool. It feels like a thicker style moisturizer when applied to the skin and it gives great sun protection. I havent gotten a sunburn on my face while using this product :D
                  Comodynes Self -Tanning Intensive Towels- Pack of 8 Retails for $14.99USD
These are European bestselling tanning towels. I tried one of these towels and it was a little hard to use. The towels look feel like most makeup remover towels. Since the towel was white I had trouble applying it as I could not see where I was putting it. The color comes within an hour and after that hour I noticed streak marks around  my knees because I did not get enough color on them. The color that showed up was very natural, thank god because if it was orange those streaks would have been very noticeable. Just be careful when applying these. :)

I have not used this yet so Im not sure how it will work. It has wires in it so Im guessing itll form around your head well.

May 2012 Birchbox Gossip Girl

May 2012 Birchbox samples are inspired by the show Gossip Girl. Birchbox states that
 "This collection has exactly what an uptown girl needs for summer"
 Now, I do not watch this show so I honestly have no idea if these products have anything to do with it.

It came in a black box instead of the normal bright pink and the birchbox itself was in cased in a Gossip Girl city scene.

The next 3 things are the "extras" that were included in this months box.

Heres what else was in the box:

Algenist- Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer-Full Size Retails for $90USD. This moisturizer uses a microalge compound to delay the aging process.

I have not used this yet but, the smell of it is awful, hopefully it does not linger when applied to the face.

Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide- Full Size Retails for $42USD. This is a lightweight serum used on dry hair to create shine.

Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF 20 in color Glow- Full Size Retails for $34USD. This tinted body treatment hides scars and blemishes on arms legs and chest. I'm most excited about this product, I have heard wonderful things about the brand and I have a huge burn mark on my leg from a curling iron and I cant wait t see if this covers it up.

Color Club Nail Polish in color Clambake Coral- Full Size Retails for $8USD. A very pretty orange based coral color.

I'm pleased with this months box. I know alot of people received an eye liner but like last month I think my box was a little different than most other ones sent out.

Befine food skin care, Gentle Cleanser

 I have been loving all of the products in my April birchbox  and one of the samples in that box was 2 packets of  Befine food skin care gentle cleanser. With my birchbox points I was able to get the full size for free!!!

When I first opened the packet, I squirted it onto my hand thinking it was more of a cream or gel consistency, well its not, its watery and I ended up squirting half the packet into my hand making it drip down the side of my hand and all over the sink. Wonderful! :/ When I got myself situated and had just a little bit of the product on my hands I began to rub it all over my damp face. The product lathers up great and has a natural mint smell. After rubbing it around my face for about 30seconds or so I rinsed it off and pat dried my face. When I looked in the mirror every ounce of makeup that was on my face before was gone, and my skin felt fresh and clean.
I was really pleased with how well this cleanser worked. I did not have any allergic reactions to it or any over drying or tightening feeling (I hate ones that make your face tight, so I was a bit bumed when it said that it tightens the skin).

Birchbox Feburary 2012

    This months box is supposed to be a Valentines Day theme, here's what I received:

Jouer Moisture Tint in color Bronze-$38.00 for 1.7oz This is a tinted moisturizer that gives a dewy glow to the skin. The color is more for summer because it gives a subtle bronze glow to the face. I will say that this sample is TINY it is a one time use sample for sure.

Colorescience Glow and go travel puff in color Kissed by the sun- $50.00 for .21oz bottle with attached brush. This is a puff filled with bronzing powder that can be reused a few times and after the puff runs out of product it can be washed and used for other things. I'm not sure why they put bronzing products in a winter month box...maybe having a bronze face is what they thought was good for a valentines day makeup look?

Dermalogica daily microfoliant-$50.00 for 2.6oz. This product is an exfoliating powder. I have used this a few times and it works well. To use it shake about a teaspoon of the powder onto a damp hand and rub hands together so the powder turns into a paste, rub all over face avoiding the eye area and rinse off with warm water.

Eye Rock designer liner adhesives-$13.00 for 2 packs. This is 1 pack of winged eye liner stickers. each pack has four different winged designs. These are great for people that struggle with winged out liner. I have not tried these yet but when I do I will post my makeup look for them.

Green River Ordinance-free music download. birchbox is offering 6 or 7 songs for free on their site us birchbox subscribers can download. I have no idea who this band is :therefore; I have no idea what type of music it is or how good the band is.

Heart nail file- This is a cute little bright pink file that I'm going to shove in my purse for my nasty always breaking nails :)

This months box didn't scream valentines day to me at all. The only thing close is the nail file. :(
