Revlon ColorStay Nail color~ Indigo Night

I have finally broke down and purchased a Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel. So many people have been raving about them so I decided to pick one up at my local target.  I chose one of the blue shades called Indigo Night.  I'm not sure why, but I love the color blue and I LOVE wearing said color on my nails. This color is amazing, It reminds me of a blue crayon. :D

Formula/Application:
The formula of this polish is amazing! Photos above are 1 coat of Indigo Night..just 1...can you believe it!? I have never had a polish that went completely opaque in one coat! I must buy another one! The polish consistency is slightly on the thicker side making it easy to have an opaque first coat. The brush is slightly rounded on the ends so it gets into the corners and around the cuticle nicely. I will say if you go over the same spot twice without letting the polish set a little it will streak.

How it stays on:
Staying power is just as great. Most polish chips on me the same day I put it on, but not this polish it stayed on a solid 3 days for me. That is good in my book because as most of you know by now my hands are always in water at my job so polish never sticks!

Price: $4.99 USD

Where to buy:
I have seen these polishes in Target (where I got mine), Walmart, CVS, and Ulta.  I am sure there are plenty of other places that sell them too.

Have you tried Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel? What is your favorite shade?

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

I had the chance to try out a magnetic polish finally!! I was always hesitant to buy one because they are a little on the pricey side ans I was scared I wasn't going to like it! Well guess what?...I like it! :)

"NEW! Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color is summer’s hottest nail trend that allows you to create a gorgeous 3-D nail art effect in just seconds. This unique formula has been specially developed with metallic particles – just hold the built-in magnet over wet polish to reveal a unique design on the nail. Seal with a topcoat for extra shine! Learn more at www.sallyhansen.com"

2 easy steps to have magnetic nails!
1~ Shake and Apply 2 coats
2~ Hold Magnet for 10 seconds over wet nail polish
Let dry and seal with a top coat for extra shine

Applying this polish is very easy, the formula goes on smooth and does not streak. I even liked the color before the magnet was applied, like chrome. :) The magnet fits perfectly on top of each nail and in a few seconds it makes this cool wave effect! The only downfall I had was chipping. It chipped after one day. Then again, like Ive said before, my hands are always in water at work so polish does not stay on my nails very long.

HAVE YOU TRIED SALLY HANSEN MAGNETIC POLISH?

Smith's Rose Salve

I have finally purchased the infamous Smith's Rose Salve! Many bloggers have raved about so I decided to pick one up at my local Sephora. I have seen this product at numerous trips to Sephora before but always refrained from buying it until now. I have heard this salve is great for many different things, chapped lips, diaper rash, and as a cuticle cream to name a few. I purchased this product in the hopes that it could help with my dry cuticles. I have been wanting to try the lemony flutter cuticle butter from LUSH for quite some time but since I do not have a lush near me this product was next on my list. My hands are constantly in water due to my job so my cuticles are always a mess and I needed something that would put the lost moisture back.

Yes, I used it before I photographed it, Sorry!

All I have to say is this product is GREAT!!! I have been using this product every night on my cuticles and lips. When I wake up in the morning no dryness or chapped skin anywhere.

Packaging:
Smith's Rosebud Salve comes in a 0.8oz tin that (for me) is easy to open. I love how the packaging is very vintage looking and it looks cute sitting on my nightstand. The only downfall to this tin is traveling, if you are not careful the tin will open and the product will go everywhere( if it is warm and the salve melts). When I went to Ohio last week I put this into a ziplock bag and made sure it was upright to keep the lid from falling off. It worked.

Scent:
Smith's Rosebud Salve has a sweet subtle floral/rose scent. My boyfriend says it smells like an  "old lady" but I don't think it does.

Price: Around $6 USD

HAVE YOU TRIED SMITH'S ROSEBUD SALVE? IF SO, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO USE IT?

XOXO,
Holly

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen

As the summer is coming to a close, I can easily say that I have not gotten a sunburn at all this summer!! Reason why, I use SPF every time I go to the beach. Everyone knows the sun is harmful to your skin so protecting it is key, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30 has become my favorite sun protection this summer!

 Stated on Hawaiian Tropic site:
" With it's Ultra-luxurious hydrating silk ribbons, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration ™ lotion sunscreen nourishes and pampers skin while providing broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, and 12-hour moisturization when out in the sun."

I have never used an SPF like this! It goes on so smooth, does not feel greasy or sticky, leaves no white cast and feels light on the skin. Did I mention that is smells great too?! Just like coconuts! Yum!!

Where to find it:
I have seen this product at Target, Walmart and drugstores with prices in the $7.99 to $8.99 range for a 6oz bottle, like most SPF pricing. This product is well worth the price as it protects from the sun extremely well and gives great moisture! Usually after I leave the beach my skin feels a little dry and tight but not after using this product!
