Wet n Wild coloricon shadow palette, Comfort Zone

Today's swatch post is all about WetnWild's Comfort Zone palette. I have been wanting this palette for a long time now and finally picked it up on a trip to Walgreens. This was about $4 and the quality of the shadows are amazing!

            Wet n Wild Comfort Zone:

All shades in this palette are on the shimmery or frosty side so if shimmer is not your thing then you might not like this palette.                                                              REVIEW                               The colors in this palette all complement each other very well. You can easily take a shade from the warmer brown side and pair it with the green side and it will not look odd. There is a good mix of warm and cool shades to go with many different skin tones and many looks can be created with this palette.  The shadows are very smooth and easily blendable. The only thing I do not like is the packaging. The shadows sit in a plastic case that is a little on the flimsy side.

(top to bottom)

Browbone: Beige with a frost finish
Lid: Warm slightly rose/peach with a frost finish
Crease: Medium brown with a shimmer finish
Definer: Dark brown/black with burgundy undertones with copper shimmer  flecks

(top to bottom)
Browbone: grey taupe with a frost finish
Lid: Spring green with slight gold shimmer
Crease: Deep forest green with a hint of brown and gold shimmer finish
Definer: warm brown with teal duo chrome and a frost finish

I have been wearing this palette almost everyday since I bought it and I love it!! The greens are beautiful and I have a feeling I will be wearing them a lot this spring!

                                            Have you purchased this palette?

Smashbox Be Discovered palette

I was rummaging through my makeup not to long ago and I came across this cute little palette. I remember purchasing this sometime in 2013 on one of my many trips to Sephora. I had my eyes on it for quite some time but never picked it up until I saw it on sale for $10 USD. It was the last one so I had to snatch it up. The pastel colors in this palette could make a very pretty not over the top Valentines Day look.

Packaging: The shadows sit in a plastic pan which is encased in a cardboard material with a magnetic closure. It is honestly not that sturdy so, carrying it around with you might end up being a little messy as I see this opening up in your makeup bag and causing a big oops.
Swatched top row (L-R) Bliss,Rosewater, Opal, Mist
Bliss- matte neutral beige/vanilla
Rosewater- shimmer pastel pink
Opal- white shimmer with a hint of pink
Mist- shimmer pale taupe
Swatched bottom row from (L-R) Adobe, Champagne, Pebble, Lilac
Adobe- matte milk chocolate
Champagne- metallic peach/gold
Pebble- matte cool tone brown
Lilac- shimmer lilac

Final Thoughts: The swatch colors of this palette are very subtle but they can be easily packed on the eye for a more dramatic look. These shadows feel very silky and blend easy. They do have fall out but do not create that much of a mess due to how subtle the shades are.

Where to buy: This was a limited edition product and is no longer sold at Sephora or the Smashbox website however, I did find it on  Amazon for $37.50 USD

NYX Nude on Nude Palette

Nude palettes are all the rage right now! So of course I wanted to partake in this nude frenzy but one of the reasons why I have not jumped onto the Urban Decay Naked palettes is because I found NYX Nude on Nude palette for half the price! $25.00!!
NYX Nude on Nude palette description stated on their site:

"NYX Nude on Nude set is a classy medleyof 20 neutral eye shadows and 10 vibrant lip colors that work for everyskin tone and every occasion. This makeup palette comes with a mirrorand 2 applicators for your lips and eyes, making it perfectly portable"

Swatches starting with top row tan highlight shade.

Swatches starting with second row white highlight shade.

Eyeshadows:
The shade range in this palette is pretty good! There is a decent mix of shimmers and mattes, lights and darks in colors ranging from cool browns and taupe/grays to warm chocolate browns and golds. Although, I feel this palette does lean a little more on the cool side but, it will work great for all sorts of skin tones! None of the shadows have big chunks of glitter and most go on smooth. There are a few shades that blend in with my skin tone so in the above photos they could be hard to spot.

Lipcolors:
A pull out tray containing 10 lipcolors can be found just under the main area where the shadows sit. Honestly I am not a huge fan of using lipcolors in palette form. It gets to messy for me. I have tried a few on and the colors are very pretty but carrying this palette around for lipcolor touch ups would be a hassle. I wish they would have put a couple of travel size glosses in that tray  instead. Then they could have been easily transported in your makeup bag.

Overall:
Because I do not own neither of the Naked palettes I cannot do a swatch comparison between the 3 palettes all I can say is that I find myself gravitating towards NYX Nude on Nude on a daily bases. I can have a subtle daytime look or a sultry smokey eye with the use of this palette alone! This is also why it was one of my favorite products of 2012!
