Smashbox Be Discovered palette

I was rummaging through my makeup not to long ago and I came across this cute little palette. I remember purchasing this sometime in 2013 on one of my many trips to Sephora. I had my eyes on it for quite some time but never picked it up until I saw it on sale for $10 USD. It was the last one so I had to snatch it up. The pastel colors in this palette could make a very pretty not over the top Valentines Day look.

Packaging: The shadows sit in a plastic pan which is encased in a cardboard material with a magnetic closure. It is honestly not that sturdy so, carrying it around with you might end up being a little messy as I see this opening up in your makeup bag and causing a big oops.
Swatched top row (L-R) Bliss,Rosewater, Opal, Mist
Bliss- matte neutral beige/vanilla
Rosewater- shimmer pastel pink
Opal- white shimmer with a hint of pink
Mist- shimmer pale taupe
Swatched bottom row from (L-R) Adobe, Champagne, Pebble, Lilac
Adobe- matte milk chocolate
Champagne- metallic peach/gold
Pebble- matte cool tone brown
Lilac- shimmer lilac

Final Thoughts: The swatch colors of this palette are very subtle but they can be easily packed on the eye for a more dramatic look. These shadows feel very silky and blend easy. They do have fall out but do not create that much of a mess due to how subtle the shades are.

Where to buy: This was a limited edition product and is no longer sold at Sephora or the Smashbox website however, I did find it on  Amazon for $37.50 USD

Smashbox BB Cream Review

I have been wanting to try a BB cream FOREVER now but they all have been way to light for me so when I saw Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream at my local Sephora I had to get it!

Like most BB creams, this one also is a multitasking product, it serves as a primer for foundation, if you choose to use foundation with it, it is an oil controller, moisturizer and has an SPF of 35.
I have been using this product everyday for the last two weeks and I LOVE it. I squeeze about a pea size amount of the product onto a clean hand and then dot it all over my face, I then use a stippling brush to stipple it on and then buff it all in.It lasts all day, controls the oil on my face and doesn't feel heavy at all!   The consistency is in between a foundation and a tinted moisturizer, so basically it gives more coverage than a regular tinted moisturizer and less coverage than a regular foundation. I have been using it alone without foundation and it does give me the right amount of coverage. The great thing about this BB cream is that it comes in 4 shade choices so you will be able to find the right one for your skin tone. If you have problem skin than this would be a great primer to use before applying foundation because
1.It will control all the extra oil on your face
and
2. It will make your foundation go on super smooth. Plus you wont have to use as much foundation because the BB cream will help cover problem spots.

Blended into the left side of my hand.

Im in shade light, just in case anyone cares :)

Photo of me with my makeup all finished and using only the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream as my "foundation."

This product retails for $39 US Dollars for 1oz of product

HAVE YOU TRIED THIS PRODUCT YET? IF SO, WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT?

Valentines Day look

I came up with a very subtle look for Valentines Day. Ive never been big on extremely heavy makeup on special days like this because you want your date to see you and how pretty you can be. Not every situation calls for a smokey black club look ya know, plus some guys HATE all of that eye makeup! All you need to complete this makeup is a cute little white dress with a pink blazer or cardigan on top and some nude, pink or white pumps :). If its a more casual date a pair of skinnys, brown or tan boots and a cream sweater with a pastel floral scarf around your neck would be cute too :) The third photo down shows how I would wear my hair with both of those outfits I just mentioned.

Slight bronze to the skin and Bright berry lips

shimmery pink eye and winged out liner

Soft flippy and flirty hair :) Glasses optional...I ran out of contacts so I have to wear them for now
