Real Techniques Brushes

I was in need of new makeup brushes, most of mine have seen better days so when I got an Email from Ulta stating that Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman brushes were buy one get one half off, I purchased a few that Ive been needing.

All I can say about these brushes is...AWESOME!!

A little about the brushes components:
~The bristles are made of taklon, which is a synthetic polyester fiber to resemble real animal hair. This makes the brushes feel and act like the real thing without being the real thing. YAY for cruelty free brushes :)
~Because the bristles are a synthetic fiber they are also easy to clean
~The Furrells are made of aluminum and contain the name of the brush just in case you want to know what it is.
~The base of the brushes are a little bigger and more flat on the bottom than the normal brushes you see and because of this, it makes the brush able to stand upright. Ive noticed this for the face brushes I have but not the shadow brush.

Here are my brushes:

First up is the Powder Brush
Retails: $10 USD

This brush is actually quite large. When I first took it out of the package I thought to myself "Wow, that brush is as big as my face!" It does apply powder effortlessly and it feels so soft against my skin. Here is a photo comparing the Real Techniques powder brush to the Crown powder brush I was using.
.
The Real Techniques Powder Brush is much larger than my Crown brush.

Next Up...The Blush Brush

Retails: $9 USD

I love this blush brush. The shape of it is a little different and it is quite large but it can pick up blushes in one swipe that other brushes Ive used took a few swipes to get product on it. This brush has a slightly pointed tip so using a light hand makes it easy to apply highlight onto the cheekbones. This one is even softer than the powder brush.

My favorite brush is up next...The Expert Face Brush

Retails:$9 USD

This brush is alot firmer compared to the fluffiness of the last two. The bristles are alot shorter and are more of a paddle shape. I have been on the hunt for a brush to use with my Soleil Tan De Chanel  bronzer and I have finally found it!! It applys that bronzer wonderfully into the contours of my cheeks and is easily blended out. I have used it for foundation and it gives a flawless finish. Another great thing about it...it does NOT shed! Whoohoo I can finally apply liquid/cream products without picking little hairs off my face after I'm done.

The last brush I have is...The Shading Shadow Brush

Retails: $6 USD

This is you typical stiff shadow brush for applying shadow on the lid. I have noticed that most brushes of this type are only good for applying shadow to the lids, this brushes slight fluff on the tip makes it an all around eye brush. You can pack shadow onto the lids, apply shadow into the crease, inner corners of the eye and it also can be used to blend with.

I am really happy with these brushes and I am excited to add more to my collection.
HAVE YOU USED REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES?

XOXO
