I Went Wickless!

Today's post is not about makeup or clothes or anything of that sort, But another great thing... Scentsy Fragrance Candles! If you follow me on twitter then you probably already know that I decided to become a Scentsy consultant!

Why? Because I love the products the company has to offer. They are a safe alternative to candles as they use a low wattage light bulb to warm cubes of wax. Their scents are great and the warmers are awesome quality. I am not going to get into extreme detail with everything you can check out my website here to learn more  or you can click the Scentsy Independent Consultant icon on the upper right side of my blog. There are a lot of things in the catalog so I will give you a brief overview of what Scentsy has to offer.
Lets start off with the Scentsy bar. The scentsy bar is a 3.2 fl.oz bar of wax that comes in 8 break away cubes. There are over 80 scents to choose from so it should be no problem finding a scent you would enjoy.

Then we have the Premium Full Size Warmer and the Full Size Warmer. The difference between the two is mearly what the warmer is made out of and the detail on the warmer. The owl warmer on the left, Scentsy named him Whoot is the premium warmer at it is made from porceline as the full size warmer on the right (silvervine) is carved pottery. Both are about 4.5"wide and 6"tall and run off a 25 watt light bulb.

Next up is the Premium Mid-Size Warmer and the Mid-Sized Warmer. The cupcake is The premium mid size and the purple one called cosmos is regular mid size. These warmers are great sizes for bedrooms. They are 4" wide and 5" tall and run off a 20 watt light bulb.

Last of the warmers is the Plug-in.These are alot bigger in real life than the photos. They are 3" wide and 3.5" tall. They come with a base that can plug into a normal face socket or a sideways socket and has a on/off switch in the front. They run off a 15 watt lightbulb. Most people I know use the plug-ins in the bathroom or the kitchen.

Some of the warmers "glow from within" and make great nightlights for kids rooms or bathrooms. No need to blind yourself turning on a light if you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. :)

An addition to the fragrance warmers and bars Scentsy also has Room sprays, travel tins, scent paks, fragrance foam and air fresheners for your car called scent circles. If you have a child or know someone that does, Scentsy also has a line of stuffed animals called Scentsy Buddies. Each buddy comes with a scent pak that zips up into the back of the animal to make it smell yummy.

Then finally if all of that great home fragrance stuff isnt enough for you then Scentsy has its own line of body care products called Layers. The Layers line ranges from shower products to body care products to laundry care items.

As you can see there is something for everyone! To see the full line of products feel free to browse my site. As of right now, I can only deliver to the U.S but don't be alarmed, if you live in another country please Click Here to find a consultant near you. :)

Baby Pink Lips With My New Favorite lipstick

Oh man, It has been a BUSY month!! Ive been moving, redoing the house I just bought and started another semester of school this month so blogging kind of went on the back burner for awhile. I'm sorry guys :( But thankfully I am able to blog a little bit. So Ill start off with a new lipstick I picked up...

The photo above is my new favorite lipstick... MAC Creme Cup!
This is a very popular MAC shade that I purchased not even knowing the name. I went to my local MAC counter a few days ago with my 6 back to MAC empties to exchange for a free lipstick. I was on a search for an everyday color and because I have been wearing so much pink lipstick lately and was running low on my lip butter I decided to get a pink one from MAC. So, 15 minutes and about 30 swatches on my arm later, I chose this pretty shade...I didn't even look to see the name until the man at the counter told me.  I'm not sure why, guess I didn't care what the name was.

In the tube it looks more nude than pink but when applied it is a baby pink.

The finish of this lipstick is a cremesheen . It is very creamy and has tons of shine to it.

This lipstick lasted about 4 hours on me before I needed to re-apply. But with that said, on days that I am drinking coffee and talking alot it last about an hour and a half.

If you have not tried any MAC lipsticks yet and what to know a good starting one, try CREME CUP! It is the perfect everyday color that looks great with just about any makeup look. I keep this shade in my purse along with about 10 other lipsticks and glosses but I always seem to grab for this one the most.

HAVE YOU TRIED MAC CREME CUP? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MAC LIPSTICK SHADE?

xoxo,
Holly :)

Where Have I Been For A Month? Update.

I know I have been a little absent on the whole blogging train but I just want to let all of you guys know that I will be back very soon. I have had one busy month. I recently purchased a foreclosed house and my boyfriend and I have been fixing up as much of the house as we could before my apartment lease ended in September SO, I had no Internet for awhile and blogging on my phone isn't that easy. To make the situation even more crazy I had to travel for 11 days to be in a friends wedding then come home and get back into the life of college courses. So yeah its been a little crazy but I promise I will be back on a regular blogging schedule very soon.I am thinking October. :) Until then here is a glimpse into what my next 4 posts are going to be. Can you guess them?

See everyone soon!!
XOXO,
Holly

Revlon ColorStay Nail color~ Indigo Night

I have finally broke down and purchased a Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel. So many people have been raving about them so I decided to pick one up at my local target.  I chose one of the blue shades called Indigo Night.  I'm not sure why, but I love the color blue and I LOVE wearing said color on my nails. This color is amazing, It reminds me of a blue crayon. :D

Formula/Application:
The formula of this polish is amazing! Photos above are 1 coat of Indigo Night..just 1...can you believe it!? I have never had a polish that went completely opaque in one coat! I must buy another one! The polish consistency is slightly on the thicker side making it easy to have an opaque first coat. The brush is slightly rounded on the ends so it gets into the corners and around the cuticle nicely. I will say if you go over the same spot twice without letting the polish set a little it will streak.

How it stays on:
Staying power is just as great. Most polish chips on me the same day I put it on, but not this polish it stayed on a solid 3 days for me. That is good in my book because as most of you know by now my hands are always in water at my job so polish never sticks!

Price: $4.99 USD

Where to buy:
I have seen these polishes in Target (where I got mine), Walmart, CVS, and Ulta.  I am sure there are plenty of other places that sell them too.

Have you tried Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel? What is your favorite shade?

XoXo,
Holly

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

I had the chance to try out a magnetic polish finally!! I was always hesitant to buy one because they are a little on the pricey side ans I was scared I wasn't going to like it! Well guess what?...I like it! :)

"NEW! Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color is summer’s hottest nail trend that allows you to create a gorgeous 3-D nail art effect in just seconds. This unique formula has been specially developed with metallic particles – just hold the built-in magnet over wet polish to reveal a unique design on the nail. Seal with a topcoat for extra shine! Learn more at www.sallyhansen.com"

2 easy steps to have magnetic nails!
1~ Shake and Apply 2 coats
2~ Hold Magnet for 10 seconds over wet nail polish
Let dry and seal with a top coat for extra shine

Applying this polish is very easy, the formula goes on smooth and does not streak. I even liked the color before the magnet was applied, like chrome. :) The magnet fits perfectly on top of each nail and in a few seconds it makes this cool wave effect! The only downfall I had was chipping. It chipped after one day. Then again, like Ive said before, my hands are always in water at work so polish does not stay on my nails very long.

HAVE YOU TRIED SALLY HANSEN MAGNETIC POLISH?

                                                     XOXO,
