Revlon ColorStay Nail color~ Indigo Night

I have finally broke down and purchased a Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel. So many people have been raving about them so I decided to pick one up at my local target.  I chose one of the blue shades called Indigo Night.  I'm not sure why, but I love the color blue and I LOVE wearing said color on my nails. This color is amazing, It reminds me of a blue crayon. :D

 

 

 

Formula/Application: 

The formula of this polish is amazing! Photos above are 1 coat of Indigo Night..just 1...can you believe it!? I have never had a polish that went completely opaque in one coat! I must buy another one! The polish consistency is slightly on the thicker side making it easy to have an opaque first coat. The brush is slightly rounded on the ends so it gets into the corners and around the cuticle nicely. I will say if you go over the same spot twice without letting the polish set a little it will streak.

 

How it stays on:

Staying power is just as great. Most polish chips on me the same day I put it on, but not this polish it stayed on a solid 3 days for me. That is good in my book because as most of you know by now my hands are always in water at my job so polish never sticks!

I have seen these polishes in Target (where I got mine), Walmart, CVS, and Ulta.  I am sure there are plenty of other places that sell them too.

 2 easy steps to have magnetic nails!
1~ Shake and Apply 2 coats
2~ Hold Magnet for 10 seconds over wet nail polish
Let dry and seal with a top coat for extra shine


Applying this polish is very easy, the formula goes on smooth and does not streak. I even liked the color before the magnet was applied,like chrome. :) The magnet fits perfectly on top of each nail and in a few seconds it makes this cool wave effect! The only downfall I had was chipping. It chipped after one day. Then again, like Ive said before, my hands are always in water at work so polish does not stay on my nails very long.

Nail of the day

 Today's nail color is by Wet and Wild Spoiled collection in the color Paying with
Platinum. It is a really cool two toned color. It has a gray base and as the light catches this polish it can turn a gray/pink hue or a gray/green hue.



On the top picture the polish is more pink, while on the bottom picture its more green, all by moving my fingers around and the light catching it differently.




Now I do have another polish by this brand (its bright green) and the brush shed like crazy!!! This one seems to be fine. The brush is a little different than your standard polish brush, the ends are shaped more rounded and the tip sticks up rather than one flat square shape so you can get into the corners of your nail better.



This polish does last for a few days (with my hands in water all the time, getting 2 or 3 days of lasting power is awesome) and it only costs around $1.99-$2.99 USD so its not going to break your wallet! :) My only complaints are the brushes might shed, so make sure to look at it really well before purchasing and the smell of this polish is STRONG so don't use it in a tiny bathroom...unless you have the fart fan on (teehee)

These polishes can be found at pretty much anywhere,walmart,CVS,target,walgreens etc...Mine is from cvs(incase you wanted to know) and cost $1.99 USD... This is a polish line sold at  CVS only. I swear I thought Ive seen them elsewhere but apparently not...so oopsy :)

Valentines Day Nails

Just want to show you guys my nail of the day. Its nothing special but I just got these 2 essie colors today from their 2 of their latest collections.



This pretty fuchsia shade has a hint of pink shimmer to it and is from the essie spring collection



This opaque pastel purple shade is from the Go overboard collection it is slightly darker than most pastel colors and is a perfect spring color to wear!

 


Beauty Mail!

Decided to check out Sephora.com to see what they had and noticed Nars had a couple duo eye shadows on sale for 10 bucks so, I picked one of them up...plus a few other things.

This duo is called BYSANCE...No idea what the name means but the shadows are very pretty. They are both shimmery  and very pigmented. I love gold and purple together so I was excited to see this. :) 

Swatches are done without a base and they came up pretty good.  They last a long time. I used  my clinique makeup remover and had to do it twice because the purple one wanted to stay on my hand.

Laura does London collection, By bare essentials

(Left to Right)

 London- a baby pink lipstick that (on my lips) appears slightly matte.
 Laura-  a bright fuchsia gloss that is highly pigmented!
Both of these lip products claim to plump, so they do have that tingly feel, although, it seems to last a lot longer than other plumper's Ive used in the past.  I have never noticed any plumping action with any lip plumper,and this one was no exception. 

Tokidoki gloss in the color Burger (see the little hamburger in the cap...cute huh?!)
This is a new brand to me. I have seen some of their eye shadows in the sephora store,  but have never bought any.  This gloss was on sale so I decided to try it out.

It is a very sheer orange gloss that if worn alone only leaves a hint of color.  It feels creamy on the lips and isn't sticky on me.

The applicator is odd...its a plastic tip...no brush, no sponge, just a rounded bendable plastic. Weird!

Cliniques almost lipstick in Black Honey. This is  a popular lip product that I have had in gloss form in the past but not lipstick form.

The swatch looks like blood on my hand but in real life its a shear berry color
