June Myglam

I received my June Myglam bag about a week ago and I'm just now getting around to posting about it.
This months bags theme was called Out All Night.
When I opened up the pink bubble package I got a huge whiff of fish smell and it made me jump back a little bit...Wasn't expecting that. As I opened the gold glittery bag the smell only intensified so I took the products out and layed the bag open for a few days to "air out". Needless to say that didn't work and the bag still smells. Too bad because it is a really cute bag. I have realized that mine wasn't the only one that smelled via twitter so I don't feel as bad now.

As I looked at the card that tells you what products are in the bag I realized my bag was missing a product...The NYX round lipstick. I emailed them and they responded back within the next day and told me they were sorry and was going to send out a new lipstick to me. I received a tracking number and it is on its way to me right now :)

Products in my bag:
(Full Size) Marbella Permanent Eyeliner Pen in color black. Retails $19USD
Philosophy Take  a deep breath oil-free energizing oxygen gel cream moisturizer. A 2oz Jar Retails $34USD
Living Proof- frizz nourishing styling cream. A 4oz bottle Retails $26 USD

SWATCHES:
Marbella permanent eyeliner pen
I have tried this liner and I do like it but I feel like the pigmentation could have been a little better. It does stay on and doesn't smudge. It dries fast and when you take it off, leave your makeup remover sitting on it for a few seconds before rubbing it off otherwise you will be rubbing forever!

Philosophy Take a deep breath oil-free energizing oxygen gel cream moisturizer
This moisturizer is really nice, its not to thick or thin and I love the gel cream formula. It seems to moisturize the areas that need it  and avoids over moisturizing areas that do not need it as much. I'm considering on purchasing a full size of this for the summer :)

HOW WAS YOUR JUNE MYGLAM BAG?

Face Paint Friday.

I posted this picture a week ago on my facebook, but never blogged about it. I'm really going to try and do a face look every Friday. This Face Paint Friday is a neutral eye look with a pop of color on the lower lashline.

Ive been so pre-occupied with bank nonsense for this house that I'm trying to buy that blogging has been a little scarce. I just got the OK for the house today so, all I have to do now is the closing and hopefully I can get back into the swing of things. Enough of that (I might do a house post on my other blog...that I forgot about) lets get into my Face Paint Friday shall we.

I love wearing colored liner on my bottom lashline, especially on days that I'm crunched for time but want something different, its also a great way to introduce color to someone that usually does more neutral looks and wants to branch out a bit.

Products Used:
FACE:
Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream in light
Aveda Dual Foundation in honey
Maybelline Dark circle eraser in light and brightener
Urban Decay blush in color score

Arbonne RE9 Advanced Corrective Eye Creme

I always have problems with eye creams, they never work out in my favor, they either make my under eyes puffier than before I used the cream or they don't do anything at all! I have even had a few cause Milia like bumps under my eyes. I thought I was never going to find something that worked. For the longest time I never used an eye cream because of the weird reactions I always had, The main ones Ive used that caused problems were the Clinique all about eyes rich and Aveda Green Science Firming Eye Creme. I was in the process of getting a sample of Kiehls eye creme ( not sure which one) when my boyfriends aunt invited me an Arbonne party to play in the face products I decided to go because I really liked the mattifying powder I purchased a few months back and wanted to see how the face products were. When realized that I would be putting on an eye cream with my mini facial I thought,

"Ok, whatever, lets see what it does." "It cant be any worse than the others Ive tried."

Well...I think I have found an eye cream that actually works on me! *does happy dance* It is the Arbonne RE9 Advanced Corrective Eye Creme. This stuff is a wonder product. Not only do I have reactions to eye creams but I also have bad under eye bags and dark circles that never seem to go away. With one use of this product my darkness and puffiness dramatically decreased. All I did was apply a small amount under each eye at night and when I woke up, NO MORE PUFFINESS OR DARKNESS!! That's pretty good in my book :) I have not encountered and milia while using this product so hopefully they don't show up tomorrow or something :/

(Ingredients list)
The key ingredients in the RE9 advanced corrective eye creme are: algae extract, stabilized vitamin C, marine lavender, yeast, alfalfa seed extract, hydrolyzed lupine protein and peptides.
Their site gives a breakdown of each ingredient and what its function is, if interested you can read about the RE9 line HERE.

It comes in a pump top, which I like, Then I don't have to worry about sticking my fingers in a jar or squeezing down on a tube and making product splatter all over my sink.

The product (to me) is a mixture of a cream and a lotion, its not as thick as some eye creams tend to be and not as light as a lotion. I think the reason I got milia from other eye cremes was the thickness of it, my eyes cannot take those really thick heavy cremes yet. This one is alot thinner but still gives the under eye area enough moisture it needs. It has a citrus scent (as with almost all products I have used containing Vitamin C) and feels silky going onto the skin and absorbs fast. A little goes a long way with this product so even though it is only a half an ounce of product it should last a good 4 or 5 months.
The RE9 Advanced Corrective eye creme is $55 USD and you can purchase it from:
